Civic Leader Ilene Sacco Honored and Endorsement of U.S. Senate Candidate Wendy Long Announced at Brooklyn Conservatives’ Annual Brunch

March 11, 2012, The Kings County Conservative Party’s Annual Brunch took place today with a crowd of community leaders, elected representatives and Party leaders on hand to thank and honor Ilene Sacco, recipient of the Ronald Reagan Americanism Award. Chairman Jerry Kassar spoke of Sacco’s many years of volunteerism and leadership of multiple civic organizations. She is currently President of the 68th Precinct Community Council.  Ilene also received proclamations from Congressman Turner and was lauded by elected officials and the Captain of the 68th Precinct.

The Brunch also witnessed the announcement of the Party’s endorsement of Wendy Long for U.S. Senate. Ms. Long addressed the attendees honing in like a laser on the problems brought about by both President Obama and Kirsten Gillibrand, who was rated the most liberal Senator. There is work to be done and Ms. Long, who has served as law Clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as well as for the Court of Appeals, and worked for judicial nominees that exhibit judicial constraint, is ready for this battle, carrying the Conservative banner and support.
