REMINDER: MEMORIAL DAY EVENTS: Monday, May 30, 2011 @9:30

Please join the Kings County Conservative Party as we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives so that we may be free and those that have never been found. Each year the Party raises a new POW/MIA flag at ceremonies. Once again, the party will invite the Boy Scouts and all members of the community to the commemoration. Please join us at 9:30am sharp  at the liberty pole at Shore Road and 81st Street for this most meaningful event. Immediately following the ceremony, we will proceed to third avenue to take part in the Bay Ridge Memorial Day Parade, which will be led in part by Major David Ryan and Steven Ryan.

Brooklyn Conservatives Urge NYC Councilmembers Vote NO on Intro 251-A: job-killing”living wage” bill

The Kings County Conservative Party is urging City Council members to vote against the so-called “living wage” bill before the council tomorrow. Establishing minimums for businesses performing functions with New York City, which exceed Federal and State minimum wage requirements would add additional burdens upon an already over-regulated and unfriendly business environment. The living wage bill would actually harm the work-force causing layoffs as businesses are forced to make cuts or simply abandon New York in favor of less restrictive and freer markets in other cities and States. The cost of buying homes and taking unwanted housing stock off the market will increase. It does not take a million dollar study to inform anyone of the negative effects of this legislation.

What do you think? feel free to comment?

You are Cordially Invited..

to attend a presentation by FBI Agent James Capozzi and learn how you can help secure our nation with InfraGard

InfraGard began as a collaborative effort 1996 between the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Cleveland Field Office and SMEs from local industry and academia. This effort was designed to harness private sector expertise for investigative efforts in the cyber and physical security arenas. Due to its immediate success, the program quickly expanded to other FBI Field Offices – leading the FBI to assign national program responsibility of InfraGard to FBI Headquarters in Washington DC and local program responsibility to each of the FBI’s 56 field offices. In 2003, the private sector members of InfraGard formed the “InfraGard National Members Alliance” (INMA).The formalization of InfraGard’s private sector corporate structure allows the INMA and its member IMAs to engage federal, state, and local stakeholders in new and productive programs that are outside the purview of the FBI. This makes the program flexible and agile enough to meet the needs of a wide range of stakeholders in the public and private arena. The INMA currently has an MOU in place with DHS and is working closely with additional government entities.
Today, InfraGard in NYC brings the national leadership of InfraGard Presidents together on weekly web casts and uses a wide variety of interactive technologies to conference with, connect with board members and to initiate additional contact with its members locally and nationally. Our New York vision is to bring InfraGard Online from concept to reality with your help and continued support, as usual.
